How Did We Become Get-A-Mattress™?

After 13 years of selling furniture and mattresses, our founders knew there had to be a better way to help consumers through the maze of mattress mire, and a way to weed out the unscrupulous!

Our president at GET-A-MATTRESS™ was the first to post online, almost 7 years ago, "The dirty little secrets of the mattress business!". He designed a retail store that wasn't the normal retail mattress midnight blue, but calming natural tones and without the wall of mirrors to trick consumers into thinking they were in a really big store. He replaced the retail standard of a plethora of different display bed heights, with all the same height beds so consumers could compare apples to apples how high each bed really stood. He color coded each bed, enabling the customer to easily differentiate the major feature of each mattress.

Why Did We Decide To Carry So Many Natural Mattresses?

We love nature. Our president at GET-A-MATTRESS™, who hoped from a young age to become a US Forest Ranger, actually ended up a designer for technical outdoor apparel (Skiing, Kayaking, Cycling, Mountain Climbing and related gear). He knew if you could make a back packer comfortable at -20C, why can't you make a person comfortable in their own bed in their own home! We are now the leading experts in both Organic and new technology sleep systems!
