Most mattresses are now one-sided and no longer need to be flipped. Some manufacturers such as Aireloom or Vital Rest still make some two-sided mattresses. All mattress companies will provide instructions on how to rotate a new mattress. Always read and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Mattresses are much thicker now than ever before. All manufacturers also offer the option of a lower boxspring ("low profile"). That will bring the overall height down by 4 to 5 inches. These low profile boxsprings and foundations are normally the same price as the regular height option.

Start off right by protecting your mattress with a mattress cover. We highly recommend a washable wool mattress pad.
